Fractional Director of Product Marketing

For B2B SaaS companies selling into the office of the CFO.

The CFO is buying more software than ever — and most vendors have no idea how to talk to them. I help B2B SaaS companies close that gap: positioning that earns financial buyers' trust, competitive intelligence that reflects how they actually evaluate solutions, and marketing that speaks their language.

What I Do

Four ways I typically engage.

Project-based or retainer. Either way, you get senior PMM thinking without the full-time headcount cost.

Positioning & Messaging

Most early-stage companies can describe what their product does. Few can articulate why it wins, who it's really for, and why now. I help you nail that foundation — market problem, ICP, core narrative, competitive differentiation — so everything else has something solid to build on.

Competitive Intelligence

Not a slide deck that gets updated once a year. A real program: ongoing monitoring, structured analysis, battlecards your sales team will actually use, and positioning that holds up when a prospect says "we're also looking at X."

Content & Thought Leadership

Finance buyers are skeptical of marketing. They respond to expertise, specificity, and credibility — not buzzwords. I write and develop content that reflects genuine domain knowledge and moves sophisticated buyers through a long consideration cycle.

Fractional PMM Leadership

Some engagements go beyond a single deliverable. I can serve as your embedded product marketing leader — working with your sales and product teams, owning the function — without the cost or commitment of a full-time hire.

Post-seed, Series A.
Ready to grow.

Post-seed and Series A B2B SaaS companies that have found product-market fit and are ready to grow — but aren't ready to bring on a full-time PMM yet.

If your buyers are CFOs, controllers, VPs of Finance, or revenue operations leaders, we're probably a good fit. I understand that world: how financial buyers evaluate software, what earns their trust, and what kills deals before they start.

If you're pre-product or still searching for PMF, I'm probably not the right call yet. Come back when you know what you've built.

Start with a project.
Build from there.

01
Start with a defined project

A clear deliverable, a timeline, a specific outcome. Competitive program. Positioning overhaul. Product launch. Sales enablement buildout.

02
Move to a retainer if it's working

Many clients stay engaged on a monthly basis. You keep the momentum; I stay embedded. No starting from scratch every time something comes up.

03
No long-term commitment required

To get started, at least. The goal is to make the work good enough that you want to keep going.

The PMM with a finance degree and battle scars from both sides of the table.

I'm a product marketing director with 15+ years building and running marketing functions at B2B SaaS companies — often as the first person in the seat.

I've worked across industries where the buyer is sophisticated, the product is complex, and the stakes are high: revenue technology, financial operations, aviation, insurance, performance management, and recruiting. I get fluent in technical domains quickly and know how to translate difficult products into language that earns the trust of demanding buyers.

My background spans the full marketing function — positioning, competitive intelligence, sales enablement, content, demand generation, ABM, and product launch. I also hold an MBA with concentrations in finance and marketing, which comes in handy when your buyers happen to be the people running the financial close.

I use AI throughout my workflow — not as a shortcut, but to move faster, go deeper, and deliver more than a solo consultant typically can. I'm also building Fieldwork, a competitive intelligence tool purpose-built for PMMs.

Based in Colorado. Working remotely.
